MAEER’s Maharashtra Academy of Naval Education and Training, more popularly known as MANET, was founded in 2001 in MIT Kothrud Campus for training young people to join Merchant Navy. MANET shifted to Rajbaug Campus, Loni-Kalbhor in 2004. MANET is approved by Directorate General of Shipping (DG Shipping), Ministry of Shipping Government of India.

The Beginning:

Maharashtra Institute of Technology was looking for a way to reduce its energy costs whilst at the same time to show how leading Educational Institutes in India can contribute to reducing COemissions therefore helping tackle the global climate change challenge in an easy, low risk and affordable way.

Realization of Thoughts:

Out of 179 bidders across the country, PowerSun has been chosen by MIT based on our Technical capabilities and industry experience.
PowerSun has designed this project on 19 Buildings.
It took 3 Months to construct this plant with technically sound Skilled work force of 20-25.

The Result:

PowerSun took the responsibility to designed, installed and commissioned a high quality Multi roof top solar PV project with Investment from Renowned Asset Owner. This will enable MIT to self­‐generate a significant part of its energy consumption from its own facilities.
